Meet Our Founder

Ryan Sears is the founder of VB Recruiter and a former elite volleyball athlete from Los Angeles, California. He has been part of the USA National Team program and competed at the highest levels of the sport. Ryan played NCAA Division I volleyball at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and Concordia University Irvine, giving him direct experience inside the college volleyball system.

What separates Ryan is his real, in-person network within men’s collegiate volleyball. Through years of competing, training, and recruiting at the highest levels, he has built direct relationships with most men’s college volleyball coaches across the United States, including NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA programs. These relationships are built on trust, shared experience, and credibility, allowing athletes to gain direct access, honest evaluations, and real opportunities with college programs.

Why?

We are a men’s volleyball recruiting service built from firsthand experience with how difficult and isolating the recruiting process can be. Going through it ourselves, we saw how confusing the timelines are, how little guidance exists, and how many athletes and families are left guessing what steps to take next.

In a sport with limited scholarships and roster spots, it often feels like one wrong move can close a door, and too many talented players never get real direction or honest answers. VB Recruiter was created because we wish someone like this had existed for us

Our goal is to give athletes and families clarity, structure, and support through a process that is overwhelming without help, and to make sure serious men’s volleyball players are not navigating one of the most important decisions of their lives alone.
